I like this a lot. Yeah it's got a good vibe, this take. I can hear strings. I reckon you could add a string arrangement, nothing else, and it would be done. Boy that vocal sounds great through the 58 - amazing really, I would have assumed it was a much more expensive mic. Top stuff.
Pretty. I especially like the chord shifts into the “now the only sound…” sections and then back to the A section at the end. The whistle lead is sublime.
Vibe is everything, especially if you’re recording guitar and vox together. The difficult balancing act of letting go while still being in control of the performance.
