Hi, Joe. Nice to hear from you. Things are looking good for a season of baseball at Christie Pits. Just uploaded 2022 registration information to the TP Baseball website and Twitter feed on Sunday. Stay safe and take good care.
I would consider that. I’m not a tech wizard, so sorting out the how-to will be challenge #1. And I only claim to know anything about my process…which might mean something to very few people. But that said, I’m game.
Joe - a great idea to share some of your music as it develops. A super nice tune. Well done. And thanks for the additional information on the post. I hope you get some joy out of doing these posts. Franklin, West Des Moines, IA
Thanks, Franklin. I’m loving this. Feels pretty freeing on this end. And I get to release songs when I want. Not a lot of analysis to gum up the process.
Cheers, Jeff. Not sure if you’re a Scud Mountain Boys fan, but the record Pine Box was recorded live to four track using three SM58s. (Bass guitar went direct.)
Big fan since discovering SMB back in '96. Lucky enough to see you guys twice - once at the Troubadour and another time at the Backstage (Seattle). Thanks for the little info. Going to listen to that one today.
Hey, Joe — That was pretty sublime. Gave me some peace on an anxiety-ridden morning. —Stuart Ross
I’m glad it worked for you. These are strange days to say the least.
Hi Joe- This is an excellent idea and I love song #1! EE
Nice song, Joe! Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more great tunes from you in the months ahead.
Cheers, Paul. Hopefully the guys get some baseball in this season.

Thanks for commentary on process. Very helpful for your songwriter fans. Would you consider doing a Q&A on writing and recording?

Thanks for the interest.
Lovely. Like the way you triangulated Prince ("America" "The Beautiful Ones") and
I'm not a Joe Pernice expert by any account, but I was supposin' that the song was a reference to David Berman.
He’s in there.
I did? (joking). Thanks for listening with “big” ears
Beautiful, JP!
Thanks a lot. I have to say, this is extremely fun. As much as I love gigs, playing alone at home is when I’m most relaxed. Things can happen.
This is great. I look forward to future shares
Thanks for listening. I’m glad you dig.
Love it, you're proving that if the song is good enough you only need a 58 and a nylon string to make a great record. Production schmoduction!

The harmonica on He Ain't Heavy is beautiful. I hope your final recorded version does have harmonica, whoever plays it :)
Even if it gets cut from final recording, I can post one here as a bonus. I can do whatever I want. Hahahahahahahahaha….!!
Great tune. And SM58's rule.

Big fan of the SM58

For some reason I talked myself out of recording guitar with an SM58 despite those being the only mics I own.
See above.
For Shure.
