(A new and previously unreleased song. FREE to all.)
This melody feels utterly timeless and the lyric stopped me dead in my tracks. I put this in your Top 10 after one listen.
I’m taking those notes as positive, Bob. Thanks for listening all this time.
(I’ve seen/heard a couple of your Pernice covers. Pretty cool. And thanks for taking the time to learn, record & post them.)
I'm taking those parenthetical comments as a positive as well. Made my week, good sir.
This is a truly lovely song Joe!
Cheers, Ryan.
I got a good feeling from writing it. Honestly, that’s my first hurdle. If it doesn’t feel good I tend to abandon.
Thanks for listening.
Well Joe, this song is a special one I feel, as it is. I really hope it gets a true release (that one can download and/or own) in the future.
Excellent lyrics all the way through, even by your standards. I’m particularly taken with “Born on the pause of the pendulum swing.”
Thanks. i often tweak lyrics right up until recording the lead vox on the record version of a song. With that in mind, there are one or two lines I’m considering tweaking. But on the whole, I’m close to washing my hands of this one.
well, at least the covid has been good for something! hope all is better!! this song makes me feel BETTER!! i'm still keepin' my eyes shut.
Thanks, Clarke. Luckily my case was relatively mild. Could have been a whole lot worse.
I’ve been having a decent creative stretch of late by my standards. Not complaining…though I’m pretty good at complaining.
me as well, (after losing some song files in a snafu!), on the creative streak (and complaining)!! hang in there!!
Joe, we drove over for the recent Cleveland show, and it was simply beyond beautiful. Thank you. Closing with this song was perfect; a gift.
