i feel like it is important to offer encouragement in these crazy times. i think this may have been my 'gateway' song into Scud Mtn Boys? even tho i had a friend that played in that band, Letter To Bread was something i heard at my crummy day-job and me ears perked up - who's THAT?!? independent of knowing anything about who it was - who's THAT! it is something i, now, call: remarkable. a song that makes yours ears perk up and as little richard once said: makes my big toe jump up in my boot! the importance of this song thru the years - well, i think steely dan called it "unreleased nostalgia"?? anyway, this version is realllly fucking cool and nice. and THANKS for bestowing!! xxxcm
Probably my favourite Scud Mountain Boys song. It’s been with me for so many years through many ups & downs. I’m scared to listen to it again, because I know I am going to cry. But thank you.

Joe,
I almost like the stories about the songs better than the songs themselves, and I love the songs.
Keep up the good work : )
Great song. I remember that from the title, I once thought it was perhaps a communication to the band Bread. Maybe it is.
